Dear Friend of Liberty,
Our remaining Rights, Freedoms, and Liberties are once again being threatened and taken away and I am doing my best to fight back, but I need your help. I just returned from the Libertarian National Convention in Reno. What I saw was over a thousand people passionately arguing, debating, sometimes laughing, and sometimes even yelling -- all trying to answer the question "what is the best way to promote liberty?" I don't claim to be the world's expert on promoting liberty. I often say that there's no wrong way, as long as you're trying, there are only wrong reasons. Over the past couple of years, our liberties have been under attack due to the coronavirus outbreak, with Republicans and Democrats spending ridiculous amounts of money we don't have, causing inflation, and violating our rights. After shutting down businesses and mandating other actions, Governor Abbot now claims he's against mandates--perhaps he learned something from Libertarians. Right now, our Second Amendment rights are coming under attack. After the tragic school shootings in Uvalde, where the government failed to protect the lives of children, Beto and Abbott are proposing even more government solutions. Libertarians must lead the resistance against weakening the Second Amendment. I'm against more government. I'm for more freedom. I'm for school choice, so parents can send their children to the schools with security policies that they want. I'm against federal and state-mandated one-size-fits-all programs. I am for returning the power of self-governance to the people and local communities. We were established to be a government by the people for the people not by the federal and state governments over the people. I never would have allowed the state government to shut down small businesses, churches, and schools for the coronavirus. Probably many would have chosen to close on their own. That's how freedom works. People should be able to make their own decisions on health issues without mandates from the government. I recently had a debate in Dallas with my Democratic opponent, Beto O'Rourke. Abbott was too scared to show up. I can't blame him. The students applauded and cheered our message and dozens lined up to have their photos taken with me after the event. Even Beto O'Rourke took photos with me. I need your help to reach more voters. We need funds for more campaign materials, videos, adds, etc. We also need to raise funds to travel throughout the state to reach more voters. Will you stand with me in fighting for our Rights, Freedoms, and Liberties? Please donate today.
